Project coordinators can be the most valuable players of any working team in the dev game. Of course, there is a BUT. But they have to know how to handle their agenda.

It may seem like an easy task, to coordinate people. Don’t be mistaken, it is not. Let’s look on a few things that distinguish average coordinators from those you don’t want to lose.
Smooth communication on different levels
In ideal scenarios, project coordinator manages just a team of co-workers. As we know, the IT world is not an ideal place. Sunny-shiny-days without things taking the wrong turn are not occurring often. Yes, project coordinator has to communicate with a team of developers, but also with different departments, such as design or testing teams, or even with clients.
Deep understanding of workflow and team members
One of the most important coordinator’s duties is assigning tickets and tasks to colleagues. Without knowing the workflow, things could get messy quickly due to bad prioritizing.
Also not knowing WHO is suitable for a task can be a major setback. You don’t want to assign a ticket to someone, who will spend too much time on the task with the different skill requirement. As a project coordinator you have to know the strengths and weaknesses of people you are supposed to coordinate. Think of it as of rating your colleagues, but just for you and your overview. It is not an easy task that takes place in your task-list just once in a while. You have to watch your colleagues every day and rate their outputs.
And don’t forget, it’s not only about performance. How does a specific team member react to a stressful situation? Can she or he handle it? These are also important factors you have to consider when assigning.
Strategic managing and guidance
Since you know about the strengths and weaknesses of a team, you also know where to push or where to slow down. Word “manager” is maybe not in your position’s title, but don’t be mistaken — you are one in terms of managing the most important asset a company could get. Skilled people.
From what was written you can see that project coordinator is flexible and valuable. It is hard to find someone who can deliver things mentioned. But we are looking anyway. This is your cue, our new colleague. We are currently looking for a project coordinator based in Slovakia. Think your senior skills (or not so senior drive) will impress us?
